The DJ can make or break a Prom. The right Prom dance music is essential. You need to book a DJ about six months in advance. December is a good time to book for the following May.  Poll the student body for a list of songs and music they want to hear at their Prom.  The DJ is an important part of ensuring your teenagers are safe by maintaining the energy at the prom.  Consider how much the DJ will contribute to the event: the music, the orchestration of the evenings planned activities, the encouragement he or she will provide for would-be wallflowers to get involved in the fun, as well as all of the extra-special effects like lighting, fog machines and any other optional audiovisual extras that take the prom from average dance to event of the year.   The DJ can truly make or break the night so be sure to make securing your DJ a priority as quality DJ's are booked months in advance. If the prom is fun, then no one will want to leave!  Much like a night club environment, it is important to maintain, control, and captivate the audience.
